R.A.D. Bike Camp

Real trails. Real skills. Growing confidence.

A mountain bike camp for ages 8–12 in Bend, Oregon, combining skill-building with guided trail exploration.

Our 2026 season has wrapped up. Summer 2027 dates, hours, pricing, and registration details are coming soon.

Real trails, real skills, real confidence. This is where young riders level up beyond the pavement.

Professional instruction, small groups, and a safe progression from skills to trails.

Bikes and Helmets

Our Cycle Oregon partnership helped equip campers with bikes and helmets during 2026. Equipment options for Summer 2027 will be confirmed with the program details.

Skills & Safety

We teach more than just pedaling. Utilizing the "Jump Start" curriculum, we cover essential bike safety, trail etiquette, signaling, and confident riding techniques.

Trail Exploration

We get off the pavement. Campers build confidence riding on real Bend trails, exploring the Skyliner and West Bend networks under close supervision.

Guided Progression

Our guides help campers practice bike handling, trail etiquette, and safe riding habits as their confidence grows.

Ride, Learn, Explore

Bike Camp blends skills practice with outdoor exploration. Campers build confidence with braking, balance, and riding techniques before putting their skills to work on Bend’s paths and trails.

Fuel for the day: Pack a hearty nut-free lunch, two snacks, and a full water bottle.

Looking ahead: Summer 2027 equipment options, routes, and meeting details will be announced with the program information.

A Typical Bike Camp Day

The day brings together bike-handling practice, safety drills, games, a lunch break, and guided riding. Skill-building helps campers get comfortable before exploring local paths and trails.

Summer 2027 daily hours, pickup arrangements, and care options will be confirmed before registration opens.

What to Expect

Ready to Ride

Bike and helmet support helped campers get out riding in 2026. We’ll share Summer 2027 equipment availability and what to bring with the next season’s details.

Skills Meets Thrills

We don't just ride in circles. We use the Cycle Oregon "Jump Start" Curriculum to teach real bike handling skills—like safe braking, body positioning, and trail etiquette—in a controlled environment. Once they've mastered the basics, we head out on Adventure Rides to explore the real trails of Bend.

Fueling the Ride

Biking burns serious energy. Campers should arrive with a packed lunch, ample snacks, and a large water bottle. We take a dedicated lunch break to rest legs and recharge before our afternoon adventures.
