SUMMER CAMP STAFF RECRUITING

Work at R.A.D.

No Child Left Inside.

This is not a desk job.
This is not a screen job.
This is not a babysitting job.

R.A.D. is a professional youth adventure organization built on one core belief: No Child Left Inside.

Every summer, we hire passionate, capable adults to mentor youth through outdoor exploration, creative play, and real-world adventure across Central Oregon. If you care about environmental stewardship, leadership, and the power of unplugged childhood, you will fit right in.

Why Work at R.A.D.

You will spend your summer:

  • Exploring forests, rivers, and high alpine lakes

  • Mentoring kids through challenge and growth

  • Leading digital-detox adventures

  • Working alongside experienced, mission-driven guides

  • Building real leadership and risk management skills

We operate Monday–Friday throughout the summer, launching daily from our Seven Peaks campus in Bend.

This is expert mentorship, not just supervision.

Our Philosophy

We are proud to champion unstructured outdoor play. Our programs are rooted in free exploration, positive risk-taking, and Leave No Trace principles.

When you work at R.A.D., you are not just running activities. You are modeling stewardship, resilience, and independence for the next generation.

Phones stay away. Kids stay outside. Leadership stays intentional.

— Mercedees Edwards, RAD Sprouts Director
Working at R.A.D. means spending every day outside and exploring lesser-known spots few people ever see. I’m proud to have been part of a company so many families feel connected to. The purpose, the story, and the way this program runs make it a legendary part of the Central Oregon experience.
