Sisters, Oregon: Your Gateway to the Wilderness.

Daily adventure camp pickups at the Sisters Ranger Station. No commute to Bend necessary.

Bringing the Adventure to Your Doorstep

We believe that accessing Central Oregon’s wildest places shouldn’t require a long commute for parents. R.A.D. Camps brings the adventure to you with our specialized satellite pickup service.

The R.A.D. Satellite Shuttle Step-by-Step:

1. Check the Schedule: Look for camps in our Santiam, Willamette, or McKenzie zones.
These trips travel directly through your community on the way to the forest.

2. Select Your Pickup: During the registration checkout process, simply select the
"Optional Pickup & Drop-off" add-on for your specific camp days.

3. Meet the Van: Bring your camper to our designated local meeting spot. Our professional guides will be there to sign them in, load up gear, and head straight to the trail. No drive to Bend required!

A Camp as Adventurous as Sisters Itself Sisters isn't just a town; it's the gateway to the Cascades. At R.A.D. Camps, we align our programming with the spirit of the Sisters community. Instead of keeping kids indoors, we utilize our unique mobile model to transport campers from Sisters directly into the Deschutes, Willamette, and Santiam National Forests that define our skyline.

Why Sisters Families Choose R.A.D.:

  • Skip the Commute: Avoid the busy Highway 20 drive into Bend. Our vans pick up at 8:35 AM and drop off at 3:15 PM right here in town.

  • Local Convenience: We meet at the parking lot near the Sisters Ranger Station (201 N. Pine St), a central and accessible hub for all Sisters residents.

  • Unmatched Variety: Unlike stationary camps, R.A.D. visits a new location every day. From the waterfalls of the McKenzie River to the alpine shores of Meadow Lake (Santiam 1), your child will explore the full breadth of our region.

Logistics:

  • Meeting Point: Public parking lot down the road from the Sisters Forest Service Station.

  • Look For: The R.A.D. Camps Yard Sign and Vans.

  • Morning Pickup: 8:35 AM – 9:00 AM (Estimated).

  • Afternoon Drop-off: 2:55 PM – 3:15 PM (Estimated).

  • Safety Protocol: Parents must be present for sign-in/out. If a parent is not present by 3:15 PM, the camper will be transported to our main hub at Seven Peaks School in Bend.

While the Sisters Park & Recreation District (SPRD) offers excellent local programs , R.A.D. Camps specializes in high-adventure, mobile day trips. We offer a flexible alternative to overnight options like Camp Tamarack , giving your child a wilderness experience during the day while they sleep in their own bed at night.
