R.A.D. Camps Voted Best Summer Camp & Best Day Camp in Bend — Best of the Nest 2026

We have some exciting news to share: R.A.D. Camps was voted Best Summer Camp and Best Day Camp in Bend Nest Magazine's 2026 "Best of the Nest" awards — first place in both categories!

Best of the Nest winners are chosen by Central Oregon families through Bend Nest's annual community poll, which makes this one mean a little extra to us. It wasn't a panel or a committee — it was the parents, grandparents, and kids of Bend, Redmond, Sisters, Tumalo, and Sunriver who put us there. Thank you.

Why we think Bend families voted R.A.D.

Since day one, our philosophy has been simple: No Child Left Inside. Kids need real outdoor time, real free play, and real adventure — not screens and worksheets with a "camp" label on them. Every week, our guides take campers hiking, swimming, exploring, climbing, creating, and discovering across Central Oregon's most beautiful places.

Whether it's a 3-year-old spending their first mornings outside at R.A.D. Nest, our nature-based preschool camp, a grade-schooler ranging across Central Oregon with Adventure Camp, or an older camper taking on rock climbing at Smith Rock, mountain biking, or a first overnight camping trip — the goal is the same: kids who come home dusty, happy, and a little taller on the inside.
